Michael Arenz (Joey), Director Dan Aeberhard, and William Gregory Lee (Mike), discuss the final scene

"Greg is a committed and hard working actor who isn't afraid to take risks and do what is right for the character. We see many major heterosexual actors playing gay characters or characters who have gay experiences in film and TV these days, but it's rare to find young, un-established actors who are willing to take those risks and make tough choices that are right for the character. That is what makes an actor. During our final round of auditions, every actor we had reading for the part of "Mike" was noticeably scared of the scene between "Mike" and "Joey" when the two characters kiss - and I had them all read that scene with Mike Arenz as a final test, the actor who had already been chosen to play "Joey". The other three actors did their best but each evaded the kiss during the final moments of the scene, and hey who's to blame them, they were all heterosexuals and expected to feel anxiety when asked to kiss another man. However, Greg performed the scene exactly as he did it in the film - right there in that audition - and the respect I had for him in that moment was so great, I knew I'd found the actor I was looking for. He's a good person with real integrity, and there's no doubt he will be very successful."
Thanks again to Dan for giving Greg's fans a glimpse of Greg at work...
