I dream of moonlight
glowing in the sky above
breaking through the clouds
I have the whole week off. Hence me still up at 2254 hrs on a Sunday. ๐
FRIDAY
My cousin had her baby at 1916 hrs. A baby girl weighing 7lbs 13 oz. and measuring 19.5 inches. ๐ YAH!!!
SATURDAY
Our first order of business was to visit the baby! I didn’t get to hold her but I did snap a few pictures.
She cried a little when the nurse came in to check her but for the most part the baby was quiet and very sweet. When we left, she was still unnamed. She should be home now but I haven’t check on her name yet. ๐
After visiting the baby, we headed out to Alameda for my cousin’s surprise party. OMIGOSH, the traffic from Walnut Creek to Alameda was HORRIBLE. We were stuck in it for almost TWO HOURS. UGH! On top of that, it was pouring rain. We even saw some lightning! We made it through but our delay meant that we got to the restaurant right after my cousin got her surprise. Alas!
The party was fun! Music, food, great company, and one rum and coke made for a lovely evening. Thank goodness the rain had stopped when we headed home. Some photos from the party…

I can’t believe she was actually surprised. Her family did a great job with the party and keeping her in the dark. She thought she was going to a dinner for her mother (my aunt’s birthday is Monday). ๐
My cousin bowls. ๐
SUNDAY
Today we went to Livermore to visit the ILs. Twas the FIL’s birthday. The weather was decent today so that’s good.
So that pretty much sums up my weekend. ๐
I think I have abandoned my attempt at National Novel Writing Month this year. It’s sad but I’m feeling utterly unmotivated. Alas!
