three poems

poem #1
your life a travesty
beating with only lies
deluded notions of grandeur
warm you in the night
your empty words of family
turn to dust and ashes
when faced with reality
the novelty burns and crashes
the time will come someday
when you pause in reflection
wondering about the emptiness
you wrought with such deception

poem #2
the days pass as always
the rising sun of dawn
the steady dark of night
the seconds rush to minutes
the minutes pause to hours
every moment steady
ruling by routine

poem #3
maybe you can laugh
dismiss the heartache with smiles
wipe away the tears

On Sunday we visited our local Beach Hut Deli. It’s like stepping into a vacation. The sandwich was good too. 🙂

Yesterday I stayed home from work. I got up and got ready but halfway through ironing my shirt, I realized that I just couldn’t do it. So I stayed home. Watched our blu-rays of the following:

Crazy, Stupid, Love – Ryan Gosling is so crazy gorgeous in this movie. It’s funny, sad, sweet, and real. And he was so good, of course. I recommend it always. 😉

RocknRolla – I remember liking this movie a lot the first time I watched it. I think we might have even seen it at the theatre. Mark Strong, Gerard Butler, and Idris Elba are in it and it wasn’t until recently that I learned that Tom Hardy was in it as well. It’s so funny, while watching it last night, I remembered most of the movie but totally forgot that it was Tom Hardy in it. So yeah, he didn’t make much of an impression on me back then, I suppose. Maybe I remembered that he had been Shinzon in Star Trek Nemesis but how could I forget him as Handsome Bob in RocknRolla? I recommend this movie if you like British gangsters and want to gawk appreciate the wonderful talents of Mark Strong, Idris Elba, Gerard Butler, and my personal favorite, Tom Hardy. 😉

And today I’m home again, still feeling a little crappy but better than yesterday. Or different maybe…
