It felt like such a long week. Maybe because school started. Maybe because we had hot days. I was so glad when it was finally Friday but the weekend is never long enough, is it?
We had our Convocation on Wednesday. It was great seeing everyone. The outdoor set up was new but it was lovely except that it got pretty warm towards the end. It wasn’t normal but it felt closer to normal than anything.
Thursday was the first day of school and it felt a bit more subdued than the days before. It felt like a breather. Friday was a bit more of the same and I felt a bit more caught up. It probably won’t last very long.
MOVIES
Jungle Cruise – My second time at the theatre! Let’s start with the movie itself– I really enjoyed it. To the surprise of no one who knows me, I wanted to watch the movie for Jack Whitehall. I don’t think I’ve ever been on the ride in Disneyland but if I have, it’s only been once so any of the ride Easter eggs were over my head. (I might have to watch some recaps of the movie.) The movie was a lot of fun, full of adventure and laughs. Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt were fantastic and Jack Whitehall was an utter delight.
The best part of going to the movies was meeting up with my friend Debbie and catching up with her. It had been way too long since we last saw each other and we had a good time watching the movie then talking a bit afterwards. I’m so glad we got the chance to get together.
