I had time to figure out a year end post, as I’ve been off from work this whole week, but I let the time slip through my fingers until now, this last day of 2021. We went out last night for drinks and I hit my limit with three. Good thing our locals are in walking distance, I say.
My last days of 2021 were spent thusly:
- Annual home inspection, as part of our renewal of our lease, went well. Quick check of everything, then the signing the new lease, and we’re here for another year. Sweet! It’s nice to have a clean house and I always think, must keep it this way. But will I?
- I left the house on Tuesday for a quick trip to the salon for a brow wax and bang trim. It was nice to get out for a bit. My computer finally updated to Windows 11 and I’m not sure how I like it.
- I think I stayed in on Wednesday. I finished up the first season of The Crown and watched the first episode of Bridgerton. We watched the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett as well.
- Yesterday I bought a ticket for West Side Story and LOVED IT. As I said on FB afterwards, “Finally saw West Side Story in the theatre and it was PERFECTION. I swear, I was one of those people who wondered WHY make another movie and by the end of it, I LOVED it. I’d already fallen in love with the soundtrack and was actually apprehensive about seeing it lest the movie spoil my appreciation for the music but I’m glad to say that the movie is excellent. If you’re inclined, check it out. I can’t wait until I can watch it again.”
2021 had its ups and downs but I don’t think I’d take any of its days back because I’m here, breathing and appreciating life, grateful for my husband, my family, my friends, my job, looking forward to the adventures ahead.
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year. See you in 2022!
