long weekend

Thank goodness for the long weekend! I am always up for a long weekend. It’s Sunday night as I write and maybe I’ll even post before midnight. ๐Ÿ˜‰

seeing Tyler in August!
Tyler’s doing The Event 2025

We’re seeing Tyler in August! We saw him at the Hard Rock Live in Sacramento last year so we know what to expect for the venue. I liked it there! I hope he does the same thing this year as he did last year. We got to see him after his show at the nearby bar area. It was great! It’ll be fun times seeing him again. Hopefully the G Bar crew goes as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

corn in a cup & mimosa

Saturday we went to farmers market. Got my corn in a cup (well, container) and mimosa and I was happy. I had two mimosas at the wine bar then we went to BCBC and I had a Guinness there. I love seeing all the people at farmers market and I love having my mimosas.

We headed out to Delta Coves for some sunshine and lunch. Island Camp reminds me of a resort of sorts and it was lovely just hanging out. It was warm but the breeze was cool.

TV and MOVIES

  • The Last of Us – And just like that, the second season is over! Of course it ended on a cliffhanger. How long before it comes back? I hope not too long!
  • MobLand – I am digging this show so much! Come on, it’s Tom Hardy! Can’t wait to see how the season ends. I hope it doesn’t end on too much of a cliffhanger. Oi!
  • Source Code – We happened upon this movie and clicked on play. It had been awhile since I’d seen it and I enjoyed it but came away from with questions like: What happened to the “soul” of the history teacher? Did the captain live out his life as the teacher and how did that work out? Some of the “science” didn’t really make sense.
  • Joy Ride – I remember that the first time we watched this, I wasn’t too enthused but it’s such a funny, raunchy, and surprisingly heartwarming movie. It’s definitely re-watchable.
  • Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One – We re-watched this one because we had intended on going to see the last movie but we ended up staying home. We’re all caught up so we’ll be ready to watch the final movie whenever we get to it.

Other random musings…

  • My Friday ended with a meeting that ended early. Sweet! I ended up chatting with two of the registrars. The registrars are my favorites and I always love chatting with them. They give me perspective on their sites and we often share information and chit chat. Even when we’re grousing about something, it’s still a joy talking with them. ๐Ÿ™‚
  • Riley Green shaved off his mustache! I know, what a weird thing to note but as a fan, I’m up for talking about anything. I must really adore him because as much as I LOVE his look with the mustache, I find him still cute without it. And there it is. I wonder what prompted the change on his part…
  • I’ve started listening to a playlist mix at work, as opposed to the only Riley Green one. I’m still falling asleep to Riley Green but I think it’s a good step not listening to him all day (even though he does feature heavily on the playlist).
  • I keep forgetting to talk about my sadness about baseball. I still love the game itself but the A’s leaving Oakland has really shattered something in me. I absolutely understand that major league baseball is a business but ripping a team from the community that sustained them is just wrong on so many levels. I will always love the Oakland Athletics but consider me a St. Louis Cardinals fan now…
we're cute, I think
